Updating Bookingor Plugin

1 min read

Keeping your Bookingor plugin up-to-date ensures you have the latest features, improvements, and security patches.

Step 1: Check for Update Notifications

  1. If you've purchased Bookingor from CodeCanyon, you'll receive email notifications whenever an update is available.
  2. We strongly recommend updating the plugin as soon as you receive these notifications. All updates are free.

Step 2: Download the Latest Version

  1. Log in to your CodeCanyon account.
  2. Go to your Downloads section.
  3. Find the Bookingor plugin and download the latest .zip file.

Step 3: Backup Your Website

  1. Before updating any plugin, it's a good practice to back up your website. This ensures that you can restore your site if something goes wrong during the update process.

Step 4: Deactivate the Existing Plugin

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins.
  3. Find Bookingor in the list and click Deactivate.

Step 5: Delete the Old Version

  1. After deactivating, click Delete to remove the old version of the Bookingor plugin from your site.

Step 6: Install the Updated Plugin

  1. Now, follow the steps from the installation guide:
    • Go to Plugins > Add New.
    • Click Upload Plugin.
    • Choose the new Bookingor .zip file you downloaded from CodeCanyon.
    • Click Install Now and then Activate.

Step 7: Verify the Update

  1. After activating the updated plugin, check that everything is working correctly on your site.
  2. Navigate to the Bookingor menu in your dashboard to confirm the update was successful.

Alternate Method: Automatic Updates

  • If automatic updates are enabled within your WordPress site, you might be able to update the Bookingor plugin directly from your dashboard without manually downloading and uploading the .zip file.

Troubleshooting

  • If you encounter any issues during the update, ensure that your WordPress version is up-to-date and that you have a backup ready to restore if needed.
